Playing outside, Hunter came running in all excited... shouting, jumping and shaking his fists around, saying " waa...waa...momma..waa!!!" I asked him what a " waa" was and then he showed me the worm flailing about in his hands. He asked me if he could squish the worm.. to which I replied.. let me take a picture of you and your worm... then maybe you could play nicely with him outside.. so he posed....
and then took the "waa" outside to play "nicely" with... his idea of nicely was to put the worm in a plastic jar, ride around in the hot sun with it in the back of their tricycle and then shake the jar til the worm fell out..nudge it to make sure it was still alive only to repeat the process. By the end of the day there wasn't a squished worm to be seen.. however there was a dried up worm carcass lying on the porch....poor worm..
